Antonangeli Lighting was founded in 1977, directing attention to the design and creation of lighting with a strong personality, with the will to express a concept of light that is ‘function’ and ’emotion’ simultaneously. In 2007 Antonangeli emerged into the outdoor lighting world with a new vision: to create light outside which produces emotions and livability like light in the interior. Investigating the market and following the suggestions of a famous landscape architect, Antonangeli launched a series of outdoor collections, which has as its motto: “… you have to respect the dark.” The constant design coherence stems from the search for solutions that are not limited to simple formal design, application of technology, but engages with the materials and the manufacturing processes. Each collection is the result of a thorough study: new or traditional materials exclusively treated on ancient productive solutions or never tried. The results are surprising forms of light.
